Ranveer Singh Exit Don 3 After Dhurandhar’s Massive Success?

New Delhi : After the blockbuster success of Dhurandhar, actor Ranveer Singh is reportedly rethinking his future film choices. The movie is close to crossing the ₹600 crore nett mark, making it one of the biggest hits of his career. Amid this success, reports suggest that Ranveer may have stepped away from Don 3, directed by Farhan Akhtar. Earlier, the film was said to be moving forward smoothly, with Ranveer preparing for the iconic role. However, fresh updates indicate that plans may have changed. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Ranveer’s strong performance and public image in Dhurandhar have made him cautious about repeating similar roles. The actor reportedly does not want to appear in back-to-back gangster-driven films.

Sources also claim that Ranveer is now keen on collaborating with top filmmakers such as Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Atlee. He is said to be focusing on diverse and content-driven projects rather than sticking to one genre. Instead of Don 3, Ranveer is reportedly prioritising his upcoming film Pralay. The actor has asked the producers to advance the shooting schedule and begin work sooner. The film is described as a zombie-based story with strong emotional depth, centred on a man’s struggle to save his family under extreme circumstances.

Meanwhile, the makers of Don 3 are still keen on taking the film forward. Reports suggest that the production team is aiming to begin shooting by January 2026 and has already started searching for a new lead actor to play Don. Earlier, the film also faced changes in its female cast after Kiara Advani reportedly stepped away due to her pregnancy. Later reports stated that Kriti Sanon has come on board as her replacement. As of now, there is no official confirmation from Ranveer Singh or the Don 3 makers. Fans are eagerly waiting for an announcement to know who will finally take the franchise forward.
