Ansiba Hassan Alleges ₹70 Lakh Financial Irregularities in AMMA, Says She Was Silenced for Raising Questions,..

The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) has once again found itself at the center of controversy after actress Ansiba Hassan made a series of serious allegations regarding the organization’s financial management and internal functioning. In an exclusive interview with News18 Malayalam, the actress spoke at length about what she described as financial irregularities, administrative misconduct, and the mental harassment she allegedly faced while serving as the Joint Secretary of the organization.

One of the most significant claims made by Ansiba concerns the association’s financial records. According to her, there were discrepancies between the hard copies and soft copies of AMMA’s financial documents. She alleged that the differences in these records pointed to financial irregularities amounting to nearly ₹70 lakh. Ansiba said she began questioning these inconsistencies after closely examining the accounts but was unable to receive satisfactory explanations from those responsible for managing the finances.

The actress also raised concerns about the Sanjeevani project, a welfare initiative aimed at providing medicines to AMMA members. She alleged that irregularities had taken place in the distribution of medicines under the scheme. According to Ansiba, instead of addressing the issues she highlighted, she was removed from the leadership role associated with the project. She claimed this was an attempt to silence her after she insisted on transparency and accountability within the organization.

Speaking about her tenure as Joint Secretary, Ansiba recalled another incident that she described as emotionally distressing. She alleged that the office cabin officially allotted to her was later renamed with the name of Treasurer Unni Sivapal, leaving her unable to use the space designated for her role. According to the actress, the incident went beyond administrative changes and contributed to an atmosphere of humiliation and mental pressure during her time in the association.

Ansiba also made a startling allegation regarding the police complaint she had filed in connection with the matter. She claimed that changes were made to the complaint without her knowledge after it was submitted. During the interview, she expressed dissatisfaction with the manner in which the complaint was handled and spoke critically about the officials involved. She also made strong remarks against actress Lakshmipriya, alleging that her actions had further complicated the situation within the organization.

Reflecting on the entire episode, Ansiba said the experience had taken a significant emotional toll on her. She explained that she had entered the organization with the intention of contributing positively but gradually found herself isolated after questioning decisions that she believed required greater transparency. According to the actress, her concerns were repeatedly ignored, leaving her disillusioned with the functioning of the association.

Looking ahead, Ansiba made it clear that she has no plans to contest future elections in AMMA or enter politics. She stated that the events surrounding her tenure had convinced her to step away from organizational responsibilities and focus instead on her acting career and personal life.

The interview has sparked fresh discussions within the Malayalam film industry, with many awaiting responses from the individuals and office bearers mentioned by Ansiba. The allegations made in the interview are Ansiba Hassan’s claims, and the persons and organization named have not publicly responded to these specific allegations at the time of writing. As the controversy continues to unfold, the interview has once again brought the spotlight back on governance, transparency, and accountability within one of Malayalam cinema’s most prominent industry bodies.
